Kale Pineapple Smoothie

Makes 1 16-ounce serving, or 2 smaller servings

Pineapple and banana make a kale smoothie delicious tasting – almost like having a dessert for breakfast or lunch.

1 1/2 cups kale leaves or baby kale (stalks removed, rinsed)
1 cup fresh pineapple chunks, and any juice
4 pitted dried dates
1 banana
1 cup ice
1/2 cup water

Add-ons: 1 tablespoon ground flax seed
1 tablespoon unsweetened coconut flakes

1.    Place the ingredients in a blender. Blend from low to high until smooth and creamy. The dates should be unnoticeable.
