To celebrate the launch of a new website, this cocktail was named after the ingredients on hand and the talented web designer, Kathy Forsythe. Most of the great photos on this site are thanks to photographer Alison Shaw. Unfortunately, she was not on hand to take this photo.

Ingredients
2 ounces The Farm Between black currant syrup or cherry juice*
1/2 fresh lime, juiced
1/4 fresh orange, juiced
1 1/2 ounces vodka
3/4 ounce ginger simple syrup
splash of soda water

  1. Add cherry juice or black currant syrup , lime juice, orange juice, ginger simple syrup, and vodka to a mixing glass or shaker. Fill halfway with ice and shake well. Strain into a cocktail or martini glass with 2 or 3 ice cubes. Top with a splash of soda water. Garnish with any sprig of a fresh herb you have on hand, such as mint, lemon verbena, rosemary or parsley.

* The Farm Between fruit growers in Vermont make delicious red or black currant syrups (as well as raspberry and elderberry) from their organic fruit, sold at the Burlington Farmers market. A good substitute would be Pom all pomegranate juice or a 100 percent cherry juice.

Ginger simple syrup: Bring 3 tablespoons fresh grated ginger, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water together in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, simmer for 5 minutes. Cool and strain. Store in a mason jar in the refrigerator.
