Though this creamy blend tastes like a delicious dessert, it’s chock-full of nutrient-rich spinach and blueberries, as well as super foods like maca and cacao. “It’s a key place to start when trying to lose excess weight, increase energy levels, and get healthier and happier,” says Stacy. Freeze your blueberries before making. Read recipe first before making and follow the directions closely, because the shake is made in 2 steps to ensure its creaminess.

Ingredients
1/2 cup water 1 tablespoon coconut oil
 3-4 cups fresh spinach
 1/2-1 tablespoon raw maca powder
1 tablespoon raw cacao powder 1 cup frozen blueberries
3/4 cup frozen cherries frozen 1/4 cup frozen banana, sliced A little raw honey (optional)

  1. In your blender or Vita-Mix, start with a 1/2 cup water. Add the coconut oil, spinach, maca powder and raw cacao powder and blend into a green sludge. It’s very important to mix these ingredients first, before adding the frozen fruit. (Do not leave out the coconut oil)
  2. Next, add the 2 cups of frozen fruit and blend. (Do not add the fruit until after making the green sludge – this is important for getting the right consistency.) If you are using a traditional blender, a carrot will be helpful for pushing your frozen fruit down the sides of the blender. You want a creamy consistency without over blending, closer to soft-serve chocolate ice cream rather than that of a shake-like drink. Garnish your shake with raw cacao nibs, goji berries or fresh local bee pollen, if available.
